Question Fly Line

hi All, I have got a fly line which has been on the reel for about year, used it yesterday to find that it has coils in it, can you get hese out anyway ?

It might work with a stretch, your line will most likely need a clean also if the stretch does reduce the memory (coiling).

Yep. Knock a nail in a tree 30+ yards away. Hook one end of the line onto it, pull nice and tight and secure the other end. Keep it nice and taught for an hour or so. That should do the trick.

Before I strech my line straight in long runs I soak it warm water, not boiling, I find this helps to make it supple and removes kinks.Let the line cool befor returning the line to the reel or you'll finish up with coils again.
