Default Reel recommendations please

Looking to replace my trusty but now decrepit Leeda Dragonfly reel.
Not looking to spend much more than about £30.
It'll be for general rainbow/brownie fishing with a 7 weight line and 9'6" rod.
Would prefer a reel with a decent disc drag for the odd occasion I hook a decent fish as I prefer to play them off the reel.
Anyone used a Leeda Profil or Intrepid, if so are they any good ?
Any other suggestions welcome.

For not a lot more you could get one of SKB's little beauties. Or if sticking to that budget a BFR Dragonfly Concept (Leeda as was) disc drag, or Okuma Airframe/Scierra Avalanche (same reel) if you want large arbour and ok with composite rather than alloy build. Profils well regarded although never used one myself.

Hi, scoba.
I've been happily using Dragonfly reels for years, but decided I could use an 8 wgt floater & a sink tip this season.

Like you, I was after value for (little) money and ended up, after much research, with a BFR Modula 95 for £35 (+£3 p&p) from North East Angling Supplies, via eBay.

Although it was an auction (£35 reserve) they have several reels in all the range (55/75/95) going through at present and several I watched had no bids - and I had no competition for mine, either.

The reel has very good reviews here and elsewhere (bar an occasional spool-slipping issue [fixable]) and won awards in 2002. Others are currently retailing them at circa £55. It might suit you?

Thanks guys.
Quite like the look of the BFR reels but was looking for a standard arbour reel.
Anyone know if the BFR Lamina 75 is standard arbour ?

Have a look at the Okuma airframe, I've just bought another one from Irish Angling for £35 delivered.
