Up to Newton for some bank fishing left the high wind behind quite a pleasant day with blue skies Temp about 6 C but felt warmer cloudy water clarity 2 feet ,slight wind from the south west.On the water by 10,00 First folk on the loft Started on the bank nearest the Bothy for an hour and a half only a few rising fish had a couple of knocks as well as my partner .Then round to the far side where we saw a fish being caught. Had 2 pulls before hitting one about 2lb 4 other fishers on the water all...

wind blowing a hooley today no boats getting out Temp was 9C but wind felt colder Sat for an hour blethering the Curly and Alfie with Wendy plying us with cups of tea . Could have bank fished off the west bank but it was a bit wild .....there is always next week. The new boats are on the bank and looking good

Arrived and on the loch by 10.00 temp 9C water clarity 8 feet,little to no wind quite a nice morning ,with sunshine through the clouds . Took the boat up to the top end in the middle . 2nd cast Jim takes a nice blue recasts and has one on for 10 secs. 5 mins later I take a blue with a yellow owl great fight off these fish they are in really good condition. Half an hour later I take another on a bloodworm static take . We move down the loch and things go quiet for a while but a bank angler starts...

On the Loch at 10.00 wind from the south overcast temp 6.5 C. Water clarity 4 feet . Fish had been caught on yellow dancers so who am I to question that . Changed after an hour and a half of fishing up the middle went to the middle of the west shore and picked one up with a bloodworm lost after a minute 20 mins later caught a 2lb rainbow on the bloodworm letting it lie then slowly lifting it off the bottom . Another hour another fish the same size ,same retrieve ,the fish are lying 10 feet off the...

Took a run down to this fishery to get a repair to my Bison 62 outboard . I must say you could not get a friendlier operation Quite a large tackle shop with everything from clothing to rods and equipement. Problem solved within an hour . I had my rod with me on the off chance I would be able to try out the place but the ponds were frozen. I had a look around and its quite a set up with 7 ponds for Fly fishing and coarse fishing. I would come back down and give it a go next year it took me an hour...
