The 2007 Mustad Scandinavian Flytying Open

The Mustad Scandinavian Open is one of the oldest, international flytying competitions in the World. Every tier can participate with a fly in one or in as many of the 10 categories as he or she likes.

In the 2006 competition 85 flytiers from Argentina, Australia, Bosnia Hercegovina, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Northern-Ireland, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden, South-Africa and USA participated with 239 flies.

We would like to invite your flytying readers to participate in The Mustad Scandinavian Open, and we hope that you will inform them about the competition in your magazine. The deadline for the competition is January 31th 2007.

You can now enter the 2007 Mustad Scandinavian Open Flytying Competition with your flies in one or more of the following categories of flies:

1: Fully dressed salmon flies: The Golden Butterfly.

2: Fully dressed salmon flies: Free choice of patterns.

3: Hair winged salmon flies.

4: Nymphs, pupas and emergers.

5: Wet flies.

6: Streamers.

7: Saltwater flies.

8: Dry flies.

9: Open category (flies which do not fit into the other categories).

10: Super-realistic patterns.

Mustad Signature hook prizes for the 3 best flies in each category.

Deadline: January 29th 2007.
