Tackle Up for the 2016 Spring Trout Season

Whether you fish small stillwaters or the big reservoirs it's time to start thinking about getting out to take advantage of the start of the spring fishing and with an early Easter this year there is no better time than now to make sure you are ready for the off!

Many anglers make the mistake of waiting for the weather to really warm up before getting out but early spring, as the water starts to warm, can be one of the best times of the year to fish. Oxygen concentrations are high, there is more life on and under the water than you might imagine and the fish, whether overwintered or newly-stocked, are active. Sportfish trout fishing expert, Jonathan Tomlinson, shares his top tips for early season success in a brand new article.
