I use a bit of everything - turning tools are all indexable carbide, end mills are a mix of HSS and solid carbide / indelible carbide, and what I use a lot of is 1/2" shank router bits, for changers, radius etc. This is the brand that use, mint for the money

They look alright and not a bad price at all. HSS blanks for turning are handy for making form and grooving tools and the like, At work we use a bit of everything but mainly indexable carbide, hard to beat an indexable end mill for general milling duties, they cut great and last way longer than solid cutters, and bigger sizes are great for eating off material.

Would I be correct in thinking this could be a more "portable" or possibly "travel" version Mike? It looks fantastic though whatever it's ultimate designation is!
First class as always.

It could be a travel vice, if you didn't mind taking a 6lb vice on holiday
A travel vice is on the list of things to do
