Default What Trout want - Bob Wyatt

I'm an unashamed Wyatt fan - his trout hunting book will get a third reading by me this close season.

I came across a reference somewhere yesterday to "What trout want" by Bob Wyatt ....is this a new book out,or due out?

If its out, has anyone read it?

Or is this referring to his 2 dvd's ?

Came across this older thread, ~ it seems the book in now in the shops and so wondered if anyone had purchased the book and if so their views.

Does it deliver what the tittle suggests, ~ have folks found it enlightening and thought provoking?

I have a number of "Fly" books (basics, casting, matching the hatch, "successful" (I wish ) fly patterns etc.) but for Fathers Day I was presented with a book token so am looking invest in a book to increase my knowledge

Thanks in anticipation folks!

I, no doubt like many others, had read Bob Wyatt's first book: "Trout Hunting: The Pursuit of Happiness" before reading "What Trout Want".

I can't put myself in the space where I hadn't read the first, before the newer book. For me, "Trout Hunting: The Pursuit of Happiness" is a seminal book. Bob is a nice man so buy both of his books

Thanks for the speedy and informed heads up on this alternative book by Bob Wyatts. A quick look at the Amazon (I guess other purveyors of books are available) website suggest of the four new copies available the least expensive supplier has an asking price of £580.77 + £2.80 UK delivery, sadly a smidgen above the value of the book token my offspring gave!!.

So maybe the getting"What Trout Want" is the option for me!

Keep an eye on eBay, you can pick both books up on there at reasonable prices from time to time. Won't help you to spend your book token I'm afraid, but they're well worth tracking down. Many would describe them as 'essential reading' for the trout fisher and I certainly wouldn't disagree.
