Hello WW

Cannot help you on the review front.I can say I have several Rio lines and none of them are like elastic bands.Their cores vary a little I believe between floating and sinking lines. No problems for me with hook sets and I also use the airflo lines. All the specs on the Rio line claim a slower sink rate than other lines of this type.

Best JP

Just seen that you're entering the llandeg league this year. The old Airflo Hover line (you might hear it referred to as the "Champagne" line) is awesome on Llandeg in the right conditions and one line I wouldn't be without on there.

Unfortunatley they have been discontinued for some time but strangely enough you can still pick them up from America for around £25 delivered .

Might be worth considering if you can't justify £60 for the rio. Another option could be the Snowbee Neutral Density line for around £40.

I haven't used any of the Rio range so can't help you out on that one sorry.

I have a snowbee and it sinks fairly fast, not anything close to neutral

The clear inters are just a bit too stretchy for me.

Hope the Rio fills the void in my tackle box
