Default Waist waders

Looking for a pair of breathable stockingfoot waist waders in large if anyone has a set going?
Thanks in advance

You could do a lot worse and see what Diver Dave has in stock Mike. At least you get a fully seam sealed and pressure tested pair with a guarantee. It's worth asking him if nothing else.

Default Waist waders

Thanks JJ,

I have tried Dave a few times over the last 6 weeks. No waists at the mo.
It's a case of me being stupid as I sold my waist waders due to having a set of chesties. I now prefer the waist!!

Nothing showing yet but the rain we have forecast might just prompt a couple. God knows how they will traverse the new "Fish Run" in Otley is anyones guess... The last run after supposed advice from the EA was a laughing stock.

Anyhow, I'm surprised he doesn't have any stock, Diver Dave that is. I just ordered a new pair through him and had them fettled by him. New large stocking feet fitted and seam sealed for the same retail cost. Vision Ikons, so far so good and with a full one year warranty for 260 that's pretty damn good value.

JJ

They were chesties though...

I've dropped him another message to keep pestering!!!

Ah hopefully the rain helps bring them in.
We've had two days of solid downpour and there now showing in both Blackpool mill and I'm on the Nevern too this year and managed to spot a few coming up the tidal stretch on Sunday evening.

Fingers crossed I can get myself an early one this year.

Atb
Mike

I use chesties or shorts with a pair of Crocks. Waist waders, what the advantage?

If you don't often wade over the thigh as I do, then there's a huge advantage. 10 times more comfortable, lighter, seem to breath much better, I find them better when walking a good distance too.
Try a set of Guideline waist and come back to me

Ten times more comfortable? That's snake oil territory

Waist waders seems like a suit short of a jacket. Most of the modern chesties can easily be adapted to be waist waders.
