Seems you had your swallows a lot earlier than me, Jim. Only just seen my first of the year and I'm about 200 miles South of you! Forecast very cold overnight so I hope they've brought their hats and gloves.

On a bird that is related to the Curlew I was surprised to find out on the One Show that there are only 70 breeding pairs of the Black Tailed Godwit in England.
