I'm sure there were choughs on the northerly cliffs of King's Bay, Portree. I used to watch their acrobatic tumbles and games of tag when out mackerelling in the '80s & early '90s.

Rather bizarrely, a Chough was in north Derbyshire from around 3rd - 23rd August this year, on rocks above the River Goyt just a few hundred yards upstream of the reservoir that was at risk of collapse in Whaley Bridge. It was discovered just after the time that Whaley Bridge was first evacuated and while the emergency operation was still ongoing. Dozens of camo-clad twitchers with binoculars, telescopes and long len cameras descening on the area and circumnavigating the road-blocks was, as you might imagine, adding to the confusion of the emergency services!
On a permanent quest to find some decent size 16 waders ...
