    After that fish and trying an empty (well I didn't catch!) but promising looking sluice just downstream I headed to the car to relocate further upstream.

    Here the banks were natural with some reeds and plenty of road and foot bridges to try under. Still pretty shallow though but the narrower reed lined parts did look promising and they were. In the last hour around there I had 11 nice perch missed a huge trout
