  1. Golden Loch near Newburgh 23/12/17 C&R session

    On the loch at 10.00am steady wind from the South west ,water clarity clear to 4 feet Temp 6C . Only boat on the loch fished the far end of the loch for 2 hours then came down the east bank and took a nice fish off the point on as green damsel . 50 yards on I take another a nice 2 and a half pounder on the same fly . Lunchtime calls for a nice bowl of homemade soup in the bothy . I have a blether with the lone bank angler who had 1 rainbow ,the fish are lying deep with nothing showing on the ...

  4. Goldenloch 10/12/10 daytime C&R session

    Up to the Goldenloch on a wild wild day wind from the south west temp 6C raining moderately . Water clarity 3 feet . On the water at 10.00 only guy fishing . Took the boat up to the top end of the loch and anchored .Anchor was dragging the whole time but after an hour I took a nice fish on a bloodworm . Wind got higher and I took the boat across to the west side and tied the anchor to the top pier and found that far more pleasant lost a fish after playing him for 1 minute but took another 15 mins ...

  5. Craigluscar Reservoir 1/12/01 A walk round the main pond

    I took advantage of a good afternoon to have a wee visit and blether to the Anglers in their bothy . Fishing had been quite slow in the last fortnight with the cold weather .
    I walked up to the Dam wall and took in the view A bit of ice still on the North west corner but the rest of the middle pond was clear . Not a breath of wind the water like a mirror . Quite spectacular . I took a few photos but have not worked out how to upload them . The top pond had a lot of swans and ducks on it ...
