    When a text came through from Dave Percivel the erstwhile head river keeper of arguably the best bit of river Derbyshire has to offer.   2. Back to the wonderful River Don

    To say the River Don used to be one of the most polluted rivers in the country it is truly amazing these days. The Don is an Urban river that runs through villages, towns, cities, industry, sewerage depots etc etc…….. you name it and to quote a great film the "river runs through it".   3. A day on the beautiful Derbyshire Wye

    It was a perfect day for fishing and me, JT and JP were invited by our old mate Chris Pryor to a day on the beautiful Derbyshire Wye. We decided to start the day off in good style with a full English at the "Cock and Pullet ". As usual we weren't disappointed with the portions or the quality of food.   4. what a difference a day makes

    What a difference a day makes. I decided i was due a couple of days on the river. As the weather has been very much up and down i decided not to go too far and limit the chances of a long drive back after finding out the river was colored and not fit to fish. So my nearest river (and one of my favourites) is the river Don. There is so much river to choose from and the majority is as picturesque as any in the country.

  5. What a day i've had

    Well what a day i've had! I went on my local river Don today and had a fantastic day. It was one of those days where everything came together and everything i did was right.

    I arrived around 11am not knowing if the river would be ok or not as we've had quite a bit of rain over the last few days. Not so much constant but quite heavy when they arrived. After poking my head over the bridge i could see the river was in tip top shape and looking very inviting.
