  1. Craigluscar Reservoir 1/12/19 A walk round the main pond

    I took advantage of a good afternoon to have a wee visit and blether to the Anglers in their bothy . Fishing had been quite slow in the last fortnight with the cold weather .
    I walked up to the Dam wall and took in the view A bit of ice still on the North west corner but the rest of the middle pond was clear . Not a breath of wind the water like a mirror . Quite spectacular . I took a few photos but have not worked out how to upload them . The top pond had a lot of swans and ducks on it ...

    Since I'd had a fish and the sun was out I tried a few swims that I'd have normally simply marched past on the way to the next lock. They only confirmed why I usually chose to ignore them - no action but maybe I was half hearted in my efforts?

    The brooks would have been perfect on Thursday but rain all day yesterday had the River Soar close to bursting out into the fields again. ;-(
