    you could of course attach a wood vice modified or something similar to one end of the plank, its adjustable, would that work?

    I know Ray Anderson who competition fishes a lot , his board has a series of holes drilled along it and has a wooden peg made out of an old brush shaft attached by cord to the board . It fits all the boats he uses .
