A days fishing on my club water has went up 50% on last year apparently to pay for two new boats I dread to think how much it'll rise if the 20 outboards need replacing to suit this new legislation

I be wrong but I think there was a conversion out for any out board, it shouldn't be too hard to do,the same as they did for cars years back, easker1

Lehr brought out the first Propane outboard quite some years ago. there is an importer in this country, Hypro Marine near Lymington. BLOODY noisy and knocky, but clean. The propane cylinder takes up half the boat, compared to a 12-litre petrol tank! - The Lehr can be used on those 2-litre canisters that you get for BBQs, will give about 1 hours running on the 9hp. They also do a 5hp.

At this time.the gas conversion is only required by Scottish water if the loch/reservoir is a public water supply.

If there’s a leak and you’re a smoker you could be in for a once in a lifetime experience!
20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon.

Good idea. Can't see why not. Go for it.

Aye, well, one of our guys puffs away on cigars while he is out fishing, so we did all the jokes along the lines of "Yer no' puttin' me in the boat wi' him!" But I'm sure there is no more danger with them than petrol motors - probably less, in fact.

couldn't imagine there being any great danger from a leak out in the open air even for a smoker, unless the gas line was completely cut which you would notice quick enough to not light up.
