I'm not sure about Draycote and rudder's, I fished there a couple of weeks ago and was very disappointed that none of the boats had rudder blocks. I was given a boat without a rubber bump strip, so that the rudder might fit better, it didn't. In fact I had to give up and bring rudder into the boat, I had tethered it to something solid but it was very insecure, nothing to clamp too. My advice when you get a rudder cut some small blocks of wood too use in case the boats don't have a block to clamp too. Cheers

I should have followed my own advice, didn't take anything suitable to Draycote so couldn't use it properly.
I think there's a bloke that made rudders for Rutland.
I made mine from bits off eBay, I think the most expensive bit was the aluminium blade. Cheers

Will ask at Rutland next week when I go. I'm not very handy that's why I'm trying to buy one. Ian

Ahhhhh what ever happened to Lee Boards.

Back in the 70's when Grafham banned Lee Boards I got one of our contractors to make a bespoke rudder out of Aluminium that clamped onto the stern. Early pioneer I reckon
