Thread: Casting tuition in West Country

Can anyone recommend a good fly casting (single handed) instructor around Somerset ( could also be in Devon, Dorset or Wiltshire)? For myself & my friend; we are both fairly competent but would like to refine & improve. We fish mainly rivers for trout, grayling & occasionally sea trout. I know there are sites run by APGAI & GAIA, but would like personal recommendations based on experience. Thanks.

a great instructor, crucially real easy to get on with and he will tailor the tuition to suit what you want to get out of it.

Have you looked on the various fly fishing pro-instructor sites, just in case you need an alternative, if someone else might not be available on the days/times you want ? I know several people on them & they are all able to "do the biz" Jim William's is one of them.
