How about making your own shooting heads up? If you know what weight and what length you require then its very easy to purchase a cheap 'donor' line that can be chopped down. You can then customise the tapers to something that works exceptionally well for you.

I have been thinking about that but a bit apprehensive as most cheap lines do not give head weigh . 30ft 300 grains if you know one please let me know . At the moment I am carrying Five reels it makes to change heads thanks Tony

I bought one of these in order to make a 55g line - it weighed exactly to the spec. Sounds to me that you want a #10 or #11 weight DT, you can then choose to make two shooting heads or one with a taper at each end.

Tried my cut line today and it was very good so I have come back and made another one but longer from what was left , so I now have two lines for 13 so now I wil make some more and consider selling my redundant fly reels thanks for your help it gave me the encouragement to do it
