Default Re: Fishing for Heroes charity

Having been a benefactor of this charity for a few years,I would like to confirm what a good job they do. I have witnessed chaps who have never held a fly rod come on our days out and watched their confidence grow by the minute,it isn't all about catching fish, it's about getting people who are perhaps at the lowest ebb of their lives thinking they have no place to go,no one to turn to, and yet they find peace within their selves spending some time in some wonderful locations with people who are suffering the same or similar problems to their selves, top this off with the chance to learn a new skill and maybe catch a fish in to the bargain and then continue to attend further sessions and improve their ability, priceless. Remember these people were willing to lay down their lives in the service of their country, they don't ask for a lot and certainly don't receive the true recognition from the government they should, this is a way to help, with out costing the earth. I for one wish I was still able to take advantage of this charity, unfortunately with terminal cancer I can only help spread the good name.
    Thanks for reading.
