Default Thank you !

Good evening everyone,
Iíve been a bit quiet after the craziness of the auction but I just wanted to say thank you again for everything youíve done youíve been brilliant with everything youíve all done for Terry 👏 Just a quick update - in just over a week weíve all managed to raise the amount Terry needed for his treatment & heís already booked in for his pre-op procedure later in December and his first eye will be operated on in January 👍 I sincerely hope none of you end up with a problem like heís had in the future but if you ever need any help then count me in as itís the least I could do 👍

All the best

Rob

I know they will only operate on one eye at a time Rob, but were the funds raised sufficient to cover a full operation, I do hope so.
Not many forums I’m aware of where you can literally raise that amount of cash in a couple of weeks from the members.
Great effort, and good luck Terry.

I’ll second that. I hope the treatment delivers the expected result and Rob, you made it happen and so share in the thanks that are due. A relatively small amount of cash and a few flies tied to help someone get their sight back is such a small effort how could I not.

It just goes to demonstrate that it’s all the little things we can do together that make the biggest difference.

Thank you very much all 😊 it went as well as id hoped to be fair & I forgot to say if anyoneís having any problems getting in touch with the person donating the lot / winning bidder as some are only on the forum or Facebook then please let me know & Iíll sort it. Also Iím not sure the exact figure right now but I know itís over £9k in total (after the Just Giving page 5% deduction) so itís enough for both of Terryís eyes plus consultation fees etc 👍

Good luck Terry I hope all goes well........and well done Rob

My dad had to have an operation on both his eyes about 5 years ago as the pressure built up too much.... they basically cut his eyes and inserted a little valve to release the pressure.

It saved his sight although it was a long while before he was fully recovered and he had to use eye drops for a year

I was worried about the op. I thought it risky, but the surgeon said it was routine, and he would carry out 6 simular ops per day......with an over 95% sucess rate...

Anyway its amazing what can be done now and I hope it all goes well
