Have a look at the Korum feeder rods.

My lad has the 10', what a cracker.

I realise that all of my coarse fishing gear is well past it's sell by date and so want to buy some more up to date kit.
Any advice on a suitable all round rod / reel for silver fish as well as the odd Carp or two would be appreciated. I was wondering if a John Wilson Avon rod would fit the bill but wonder if this might be too meaty a rod?

My new rod went swimming yesterday. I forgot to lower the drag when i put it in the rod rests.Good quick bite and as i went to lift the handle the rod sprung up as the fish lunged...rod shot off into the deep. Tried to cast over it to retrieve it, but no joy. Not a happy bunny. New rod bought today..and a reel with a baitrunner...
