    Default Llandegfedd Airflo anglian water

Well fished today on llandegefedd for the anglian water Airflo preliminary round for the final on Brenig. Every angler took their 8 fish of the 6 teams that fished. 3 Teams go through and I think everyone had a good day so took the camera specifically for the forum members for the record, the fastest person to catch all 8 fish was Scott Tovey who had his 8 by 10:20

A nice day for it me thinks, no?

Top bag weight and best fish, dont have the figures, Allen hughes (apologies if your name is spelt wrong)

    Second placed individual, Simon Barton

Third placed Scott Tovey, Finished by 10:20

The top bag has to write how he did it to win, not sure allens fond of the idea, do you carry a pen when you go fishing?

    Well thats the day guys and girls. the heaviest fish went to Craig Gimblett due to allen having won top bag of the day and no person can win more than 2 prizes. the 3 qualifiers are;

    Margam flyfishers
    Welsh Wizards
    Nymphoniacs

Well done everyone, not many comps were everyone bags up (except the welsh trial 2 years ago were almost everyone did, the same water )

Fancy a day out? got to be llandegfedd, since the introduction of catch and release the water has improved 10 fold!!

    Default Airflo Comp

Great performance by Scott 8 fish 20 minutes !! Must have taken 5 minutes to motor across !!! 15 minutes 8 fish !!!
It was pretty tight, just over a lb between top 3 teams I think wasn't it ??
Good day, plenty of banter, Neil must have dreaded coming in with everyone waiting for him !!
Brenig now in August, hopefully we'll have some decent top of the water sport , like Llysfran last week hahahahahahaha

All sounds a bit farcical to me. Sorry if that ruffles a few feathers but that's my gut feeling.

A bit easy, not farcical. Comp anglers have to catch their fish for the team and early season it's like that sometimes, recent hungry stockies and quick bags ups if you get on them.

Look at the rod averages for the comps later in the season and it's more like 3 per rod in 8 hours and an AMFC match at Hanningfield on Friday had a rod average of less than that.

    20 minutes though,,,,fluk in ell!

Not fished there for many a year!

Like fishing in a stock pond; 8,fish in 20min, every one had their bag of 8,fish.

    Not my kind-a-fishing!

I'll leave it for the lake angler, and coarse fisher!

    Default 20 min fluk

    BewlGeordie

Regards to one of the Welsh Wizards catching his 8 fish in 20 minutes, this was a team performance we all went out to practice the day before split the water & found fish.

Three of the team bagged up before 12pm in and around the same area, and the other not to far behind.

Steve the only feathers I think that has been ruffled is the team that resorts to name calling, personally I think they are better than that, at the end of the day its all about Qualifying.

    See you all at BRENIG

    wizards,
Who's name calling???? My "farcical" comment isn't directed at any individual. It's the fact that every angler caught their limit that makes the MATCH a farce. I'm not a fan of time bonuses. If the rules had allowed catch and release after the limit had been taken ,would the results have been the same???
    I think not.

Good luck to all the qualifiers at Brenig.

    Hi Steve

I don't want to get into a slanging match theres more than anough of this going on.

the comment about name calling was not aimed at you.

the results would more than likly have been differant but what would the none comp guys say when they read top team catches 100-120 fish.

So what are you saying steve that the three teams that Qualifyed would not have and any team could have Qualifyed catch and release was asked about but they were not having any of it so all had to fish to eight fish limit
