You understand that sometimes we can`t have possibility to measure weight of fish. We fish C&R and try to keep fish alive. This one (previous photo) may be 40-45 kg. And this one (last photo) is the 2010 record 50 kg. During last 5 years 60 and 75 kg taimens were landed during our trips.

Vasil, its a hard job, No so quick as salmon but very big and heavy. Sometimes it is hooked in places with fallen trees, in stones and so on. And we lost many of them without any photo. You can see here an ideal place to land big fish. But it is as exception.

Another big fish. In Uda and Tugur rivers till now is a lot of large Siberian taimen. Uniqueness of these herds tajmen consists that it can eat numerous here a Siberian salmon.

..........The biting improves after a rain when small animals get to water. It is noticed that fishing begins difficultly in a situation when salmons appear in the river......

Yes, sorry. at first its very hard to get a full flyfisherman team, usually we have mix of spin and fly. Second- sometime spin is more mobile method to fish slow water or deep parts of the river. Results may be 1/3 for spin. so we have 1\3 photos, one part of fly to 3 photos to spin.

Its a joke but it may be a problem for fisherman who did`n fish with heavy tackles.

...........Tackles for large fish should be reliable. It is necessary to catch in holes, among the fallen trees, at the washed away coast. Therefore conveniently to have two-manual fishing-rod and a set of lines or shooting heads..........

........Baits should be large. Their weight and the size are limited only to capacity of a fishing-rod. Large streamers, poppers and mouses do on hooks in the size from 1\0 to 4\0. Often use an additional hook on baits tail......

In comparison with with a bait for a spinning the fly loses in mobility. Therefore for flyfisherman there is absolutely other problem. It is not necessary to work on the areas, on it too much time leaves. It is necessary to choose the best, most perspective points for fishing. These are places where taimen it is fed, instead of has a rest, we search and it is caught active fish.
