    Default Costello and Fermoyle

    Hi All,

I'm trying to book some boats for July on this fishery but so far drawing a blank with both emails and phone calls.

Does anyone know the set up there? Is it deserted in the close season?

    Cheers

    Jon

Very odd Bert. I'm not getting any response by email or phone. The season is open there now so I would have thought someone is about. If anyone has any backchannel methods of getting in touch I'd be super grateful.

    Hi Jon,

I stayed at the estate cottage there over twenty years ago and had a great time, it's a beautiful area. The sea trout were late that year but the trout fishing compensated for it, definitely a special place, especially in moonlight when the rocks on the peat bogs seem to light up.

This is the contact number from Fishing in Ireland. An angler's guide to the best fishing in Ireland.

    Thanks Colin.

I'll give those a try. I've wanted to fish Glenicmurrin since I saw a picture of a boat drifting past the island with the fishing hut on it, over 20 years ago in T&S, funny how these things inspire the imagination. Fingers crossed I can get through.

This fishery seems absolutely determined not to be available to take bookings. Quite incredible.

Fishing News - Kylemore Abbey Fishery

The number for nigel rush is at the bottom, he runs the dawros river and the lake at kylemore abbey. You could try nigel to see if he has contact details as its close to costello and fermoyle or fish at the abbey, a beautiful part of the world
