Default Recommendations for small streams near Edinburgh in late September

Hello all, I have a work trip up to Edinburgh at the tail end of September and I'll be able to rent a car and head away from the city for a day to fish.

My favoured method is tenkara (also means I can pack very light!), so looking for day ticket waters with reasonable gradient within an hour (or so) of Edinburgh.

Any thoughts? I'm aware of Peeblesshire Trout Fishing Association day tickets and would welcome specific recommendations for beats therein. But also for other rivers too!

    Many thanks in advance

    Russ

What do you mean by "reasonable gradient"?

I'm really just asking to give your thread a bump. Afraid I don't have any info for you.
