Sit still and watch the river, it's all a part of fishing.

Nice programme, watching the 91 year old lady fishing I was reminded of my long departed friend who was ghillie on the Duke's beat of the Wye. One of his regular rods was Mrs Hill, a diminutive lady who would have been in her 80s and, when fishing, Baden used to keep hold of her wader braces to stop her being carried away.
“There is no more lovely country than Monmouthshire in early spring. Nowhere do the larks sing quite so passionately, as if somehow inspired by the Welsh themselves. There is a blackbird on every thorn and a cock chaffinch, a twink as they call him there, on every bush...... It moved me profoundly. I had been spared to see another spring, and I thank God for it.”

Very interesting programme - now I need to search for the other episodes. Agee with the "Mrs C" salmon clip - how brilliant she is still fishing and loving it.
I just moved up in October from Sussex near to Inverness and the Cairngorms and can't wait to get out and explore the park more with the camera and fishing rod. The Wells of Dee looks like a great spot to hike to as well.
