I heard a 2 1/2lb fish was caught the other day on the Tawe. The Neath section has been tough fishing all through March but any fish I did get were fat and nothing under a pound yet. Which is unusual.

Sorry I'm not on Facebook so I can't access the link.

HI' old bull, what a stunning image. i have a microscope which I bought several years ago from the company which employed an FFF member at the time. Do you remember Ickypimp?
I haven't used it since I bought it, but because I also bought a USB camera that fits in one of the stereo lens tubes, I think I'll have a go at using it, when I get
time. Can you tell me what is your set-up? That image looks like 20 times mag.
at least. My gear goes up to 40.
One reason for not using the microscope was simply that it seemed to lend itself more to 'birds' eye views, ( OK for larvae ) while I am more interested in shots of duns and spinners of upwinged flies, or sedges, stoneflies etc.
Carry on the good work. ATB TerryC

Terry, taken with a Canon MP-E65 lens on a Canon 7D which gives magnification of 8x (x1.6 from the crop body and x5 from the lens) and MR-14EX Macro Ring Lite flash. Plus a bit of a crop in Photoshop.

The MP-E lens can be a brute to use as focusing is by moving the camera and lighting of the subject to focus it at max magnification can be a bit of a challenge!
