    Default Brown Beetle

    Seems there is an Explosion of some sort of brown Beetle across Scotland.Heard of it on Rannoch/Leven/antermony.Looks a bit like a Ladybird.but all brown.anybody any idea.

    I have seen some photos.Not sure about 10 spot.looks like no spot.

    But I do know that an olive cruncher sz 12 is doing the business on our loch.

    My gamekeeper pal will be concerned. Must be a decade since the last big outbreak. I remember seeing 100's of thousands of them on a loch where the wind had forced them together into what looked like a floating raft. We even saw them a couple of miles from shore that year.

    Plenty of beetles this time of year. Loads of small black ground beetles here at home.
