Abut 8 years ago I re-wilded a field, not a case of leaving it to nature's own devices, it would be a mess of balsam, docks and brambles otherwise, this year the management's paid off and there's a brilliant array of grasses, some around 2 metres high which provide great habitat for the insects.

About 98% on top of the balsam now thanks to last year's dry summer.
