Still nothing, no reel and no further communication from the seller. Probably the last I will hear of it.

I have had replies from the police fraud dept saying that it is still an active complaint and that they still have it listed as an active investigaton, I guess it will be quite low down on their list.

More patience than I have, fancy a run down together John? I’d like to see just what this nasty thieving bit of scum looks like, I wouldn’t be happy until he was tarred and feathered.

A bit too public that , a little bit of playtime with a nice bit of Hickory is more fun.

This really is an appalling way for a forum member to treat a buyer. Mike should be ashamed of himself. So glad its a one off, mostly fantastic sellers on here.

sadly the way of our times. If you do not know the seller really really well do not take the risk. Very sad though

A very sad episode but why do people still use 'Friends and family' payments when dealing with complete strangers. When I purchase from any body that I don't know I always pay by normal Paypal even if it means paying the fees myself, it's far better to pay the 3.4% +20 p per transaction than to lose 100% and have all the worry that goes with it.

For anybody that is unsure of how to work out the correct amount here is a simple formula:

Take the original price and divide it by 96.6% then add on 23p. On a 100 purchase this would add a further 3.75 to the cost, surely this is preferable to losing 100. I have only ever had one seller on here that objected to me doing this and that was because I made a slight error in my calculation which meant that he received 1p less than the advertised price

If anybody refuses to accept this form of payment then they are possibly a scammer as the amount that they receive is not affected.

I hope that no one is offended by the maths lesson, I know that most of you know how to do the calculation but if it stops just one member from losing their money then it's worth it.

I didnt bother because the seller has been a member since 2013 and has sold dozens of items so in some ways I didn't see him as a stranger as such.
