Default 7' 2pc #2 line bamboo ferrule cane fly rod (No. 34)

    NOW SOLD

I have another two rods that are not being used and really should be so I am offering them to Forum members first.

The first is a really beautiful 7' 2pc #2 line bamboo ferrule cane fly rod

I purchased this off the builder Math Davies (Fleaflicker), The Galvenny Rod Co. a while ago but have only used it once, which is a shame. The trouble is that I also purchased a second cane rod off Math and, taking a heavier line, is the rod I use most due to my stream being somewhat exposed.

The rod is in lovely condition - little used - 7' ~ 2 PC ~ #2 Solid hexagonal built split cane fly rod, ideal for mountain streams and rivers like the Monnow. Math will tell you all about the rod I am sure should you need more information.

Nodes 2 x 2 x 2 - displaced & heat pressed (only lips of the nodes were filed away keeping the all important outer material intact!!)

Cane is flamed & heat treated

    Bamboo / Integrated sleeve ferrule

Dainty half wells cork grip blending into a flat spot reel seat with lightweight aluminium slide bands (in house made)

Snake brand snakes & tip top

Mildrum Stripping guide (no bells no whistes - pure function and durability with a classic look)

Silk whippings throughout with single whipps among the snake rings....

Heavy cotton divided rod sleeve with internal batton support complete with aluminium tube.

    Please see pictures below.

Looking for 325 including UK Postage (Parcel Force 24)

    Thanks for looking.

If only it was a 4 wt then it would be a perfect replacement for the one I lost, a 2 wt's a little to light for my streams
A beautiful rod though, I'm sure it will find a new owner soon.
Yes, I do heartily repent. I repent I had not done more mischief; and that we did not cut the throats of them that took us, and I am extremely sorry that you aren't hanged as well as we.

Sorry, I'm hopeless at describing actions but have sent a PM to the builder to see if he can help.

I can vouch for the quality and finish of these rods, as i visited Math a few months ago and have seen his work, i hope i can do the rod building equipment i bought off him some justice!

    I don't think there is a website.
The builder is Math Davies (Fleaflicker on here), but unfortunately he has not yet responded to my PM/email so I cannot add anything further.

Is anyone in personal contact with Math who can prompt him to respond?
