    Morning Lads
It's dull and has been drizzling this morning. I've been and had my first New Year haircut. I made sure my hairdresser took plenty of so I could make the haircut last until next year.

The new year ends where the last one left off. I blanked. Send me the mantle.

    Evening guys.
Has everyone been shopping for new gear?
New waders arrived today, thermal wader liner arrived Tuesday, Wader boots changeable soles arrived Wednesday. Just waiting on arrival of new wading boots.
The waders however, are a bit too long, more like a medium long than just medium but the thermal inner fits nicely (once I'd worked out how! )

Noel, I used Dyneema braid un-coated, 18lb but very fine and cast very well. Only down side was that if got blown by the wind which got it caught in trees on casting. I was casting along the tree line, the lure landed where I wanted it to. I couldn't get the line of the trees and lost the lure.
It was grey in colour but I can't remember who made it! Many braids tend to be coated, makes them thicker in diameter and more suitable for carp fishing.
I have a wife and daughter. I'm always wrong and outnumbered. Hidden Content

Noel I have heard good reports of J-Braid x8. When you put braid on your reel wet the braid first. You may need a monofilament backing or the braid will slip. Last do not over fill your reel assuming it is a spinning teel. You will get wind knots. Other braid Re Berkeley Whiplash and an old favourite Powerpro.

I was there with the boss yesterday morning Alban we had lunch in Mrs. B's tea room. I didn't buy anything, the boss bought a new frying pan & a few bits.

Hard luck Steve N..... I'll say one thing your consistent!!

Morning Lads it's cool and breezy here today.

Hard luck Steve N and AJ has either of you been unkind to a gypsy? My wife was cursed by a gypsy 45 years ago when she decline to buy her clothes pegs. She married me and its been downhill all the way.

My granddaughter and my wife have been looking at wedding venues today. The average cost for 75 guests is between 7,000- 15,000 depending what is chosen in food and drink. The granddaughter isn't having her wedding until 2020 which is just as well because 7,000 or more will take some saving. The cost of photographer, wedding cars, flowers, wedding apparel, gifts, and dozens of other incidental items will push the final cost near to 20,000. I'm glad it's not me getttng married.
