    Morning all
I expected a few aches and pains after yesterday, my first fishing outing for over three months, but I am surprisingly good.

I had a shock this morning. Yesterday I realized I had forgotten my booby box with over 200 boobies in it a collection of over thirty years. Upon searching for it this morning were it should be I came to the conclusion I had left it on the bank last year. What a shock and loss. Well I continued to worry and decided to launch a full scale search .I found the box in an obscure place put there by my wife on one of her many tidying up sessions. What a relief and what a joy to be reunited with an old friend.

    Morning guys.
Hi Alban, always worth the trip just for knowledge gained, ignore the buying side and take in the talks and see what the fly tiers are up to. Worth the 12 admission fee. Plus, you can see what's the latest gear on offer is like even if bargains are few and far between, though they are there if you look and they are what you need.
Nice bright day out there, breeze is warmer and rivers now dropping and clearing to nice levels. Just made plans for trip out tomorrow.

I'd go brown SteveN. Maxillary extends beyond the eye, square tail. Downside: I cannot see any spots or colouration on the edge of the adipose which would also indicate brown.
Browns also have more teeth on their upper centre plate, 2 rows (zig zag) where salmon only have 1.

I'd go Brown. Caught on a dead bait more than once same swim months apart.

Evening guys ...................... or should it be ghosts? Where is everyone?
Tough day in the river, went with 2 mates should not as much water to fish. Level at a nice height and all looked good. By lunch it was fishermen nil, grayling? I made changes and went of to fish the poor water. By end of play I had managed 4 grayling, my mates ....... still nil. 10lb 10oz did have a grayling on, but lost it.
I'm going to start a thread about my new fishing buddy.
