Tried my luck on the river this morning, with some flies Alban has given me. Using a 14ft double handed salmon with a 10# line with sinking shooting head, 10lbs leader, on a cone head tube fly the lone small brownie I caught did not really have a chance or give much fight.

That was my experience Earl on my one and only excursion into salmon fishing. I used an over enlarged Peter Ross though.

Afternoon lads I've been at the GP this morning for blood tests.taking BP and finally a Shingles injection, total time 45 minutes. I missed my Thursday walk as I had to take Vanita to Synexsus, Leyland. She hoped to go on a trial of a drug that relieves joint pain without stomach upset. Sadly she has too many complications to qualify for the trial.

Afternoon guys, lovely brown Steve well done.

At at least you didnít blank Earl, salmon fishing is a trying art!!

Bet your GP loves you Alban 45 min. appointment, Iím lucky to get a 10 minute one.

Did my back in again yesterday, was fine fishing with my back brace on, washed & polished the cars in the afternoon then after tea we went round to a friend to take her birthday present, they have quite a low couch I came to get up & my back went so wearing my brace all day now, it is improving but will have to take it easy.

No fishing today. Got the study ready for tonight.
Took Dad his phone charger and topped his phone up. He won't be coming home yet. He is on an intravenous drip for antibiotics.

Went to look at the Mullet today. I do not think fishing is doable especially at low water as there is too much mud. Will have to see if they are still about at a different state of tide.

River Lune Lancaster Alban. Frustrating seeing a nice shoal actively feeding.

    Is that section tidal?
