Pass the mantle, had a couple of hours on Dingle this morning, plenty of fish topping & had three offers to a dry but no fish.

Came home & took the boss to Bury market.

    Afternoon guys.
Unlucky Tom, the river I fished today was better.
I was a bit earlier than usual, fished dry fly throughout. Started in a section after seeing a fish top. Typical, I lost the first offer. However, the second offer stuck and so to did the third. Then it went down hill (not just the river's flow ). By lunch I managed unlucky thirteen, that was to be my total for the day, well I ended early due to being chased up river by three people spraying Japanese Knotweed. They were all suited and booted and trashed through the river. I did have a chat but the fishing was f ........... What fish I managed to rise after lunch I just couldn't keep on. I also had dogs join me in the river on a couple of occasions but they didn't put things off.

Mantle on the way Tom. Can you get the small dent out near the rim. It fell off the table.

After getting my job's done and just as the showers started I finally got out for a hour after Perch. Had a productive session. Had one about 32cm too. What are the Lancsy Lads up to next? (Volume 2) 2018--img_20190717_161552_052-jpg

Well done Ged despite all the trials and tribulations you had to put up with.

Commiserations Tom fisheries are having a hard time all round.

    Nice little perch Steve.

I have my car back suitably repaired and a new water pump fitted which I didn't expect. I think the garage replace the pump when replacing the timing belt as it is so inaccessible and easier to change whilst undertaking the bigger job.
