Off to Drumlanrig Country Fair shortly. I bet the fishing stalls are none existent! There are casting demonstrations and competitions but I’ve seen them all before.

    Morning guys.
Well it's a better day here at the moment.
Earl, have you not had a go in the competitions? I know what you mean, seen one, seen them all, same old, same as!!

Morning, I'm thinking of going to Chatsworth Country fair at the end of August . Not sure if it's pricey at 22.50 at ticket. Never been to a country fair to compare.

It's quite a big event with loads of people going Mark.
Ticket at the gate on the day is 25 per adult. Plenty of entertainment if you can see what's going and better if you can get a seat (may have to take your own). Make a note of where you park the car, tie something easily recognisable from a distance to it. Better if the weather is nice but more people. Can be very hard work trying to walk round the stalls with the crowds. Don't expect much in the way of bargains or in the way of fishing. Still cheaper than going to a professional football match for 90 minutes.

I went to Chatsworth Country Fair about three years ago. It is a big event and plenty to see. The Fisherman's Corner was a big disappointment.

Back from the fair, disappointed as expected. Only two stalls with fishing gear, neither any good! Tried to watch a spey casting demonstration but they had a wonky sound system so I gave up.
