A very enjoyable afternoon spent with Noel & Agnes, thanks for the tea & biscuits. Agnes is a lovely lady Noel & your not to bad yourself!!

We were invited to lunch but having a cooked breakfast in the B & B & having booked an evening meal at a restaurant lunch would have been too much.

Well done at Pis. Mark bet it was very windy up there.

Good day on the Don for you Ged, well done.

Back home tomorrow, the weather has been very kind to us & Kynren was fabulous, can recommend it.

I've been up at 7am and queuing for a doctor's appointment outside our medical centre. The system for appointments is diabolical non on line and non when you telephone. I have an appointment for 10.30am. Things aren't as they should be after my recent illness and hospital treatment.

I have been given the all clear but advised it will take a couple of weeks to fully recover.

I've cancelled fitness training and physio this week you need to be fit for these classes.

That was lucky. I had a bill to pay which I have to do at my bank as I do not do or trust on line banking. I was going to walk but it started raining very heavily so I took the car. Got to the bank only to find it was closed and either closed for ever or having a refurb'.

I'll still have to pay my bill at another branch.

Some times I think banks are slowly forcing people to bank on line. No personal touch or human interface needed. So much for a meeting with your friendly bank manager.

Steve no thinking about it THEY ARE. They do not want you to visit a branch.

I had a brilliant argument with a young man in Nat West in Kirkby Lonsdale what an arrogant pratt probably aged 20 .
Went in for some money and asked for a receipt then asked for a mini statement. He replied why did you want a cash receipt then a mini statement as my withdrawal amount was on my mini statement.
Well i told him straight that it was my choice and i needed t receipts for different purposes he replied he just want to try and save the planet.

He then said i should use online banking, i asked WHY as its unsafe and fraught with problems,RBS/Nat west systems getting hacked or crashing. If the Pentagon can get hacked RBS/ Nat west is a piece of cake.

What a response i got he strongly denied any bank systems have been hacked or crashed. I said nothing but a red rag to a bull comes to mind.

Went online and you can find out how many times Nat West systems have crashed and denied customer access to their accounts and how many times it has been hacked.
Printed it out and went in the branch again the following day asked for cash & Receipt and mini statement. Being bloody minded

He again said why do i not use online banking !!!! that was it i pushed probably 4 sheets of listed incidents with Nat West online banking and told him bluntly to keep quiet unless he knows what he is talking about, then walked out .

They have since moved him from that branch. When we are gone all youngsters today will be online banking with all its pitfalls
