She spent about 150 on a electrically heated drying maiden and another amount on a special cover it has been used twice in six years. I rest my case.

Cannot get the wifi extender to connect to the internet, USELESS.

Strange that Ged. I got a cheap one and it was a doddle to set up. Which one did you get?
I just logged into mine and set it up as a repeater. Not an access point.

    SteveN.
I got a TP-Link TL-WA854RE. Suppose to be a doodle to setup. Plug in next to router, press WPS on router then button on front of extender, wait a minute for all lights to come on solid, unplug extender and plug back in where you want it. Simples. NOT!

Ged can you log into the extender? Check the status. You could try setting it up manually. Make sure it works before you move it. Good luck.

Ged, I hope you're connected to the internet.

When I can't fathom IT systems and hardware I send for my son he sorts things out in a matter of minutes. I feel so useless when he does this and even more so when he tells me what to do next time and I can't take the information in. Bring back the Abacus it has been around since 1300 BC.

Just a simple check to see if you can connect to internet using the extender... use your laptop, phone, or tablet that you would normally connect with in close proximity to extender, go into wifi settings on selected device and select the extender as opposed to your normal router... if you cannot connect to internet then it is a settings issue which may be caused by mac address filtering, if this is the case you may have to log in to the extender using laptop, PC, tablet, phone etc and enable the mac addresses of any devices you want to allow internet access to which obviously will include your charge point, or for a quick check you could disable mac address filtering on your main router. hope this is of some help as I am no expert but learned this the hard when trying to set up my own system which had it's connection problems

Morning all , off to Cumbria today on a wet horrible day ( family commitments ) .
The wall lights Agnes chose will need to be taken back as they are not individually switched , bless her it's something I have to get used to " silly mistakes " .

    Morning all
Dry and sunny here this morning but rain is expected. We have a large wooden arbor seat to clean down and put a heavy weight cover on for the Winter. The new owners have bought it separately and we have nowhere to put it. It's sad as it was a leaving present from her last job when she retired after twelve years.
