Dad feels better this morning. They have moved him to the stroke ward now to see if they can get his left arm working. He rang this morning, said they don't want him walking but then asked if we can bring his Zimmer frame. As if. They are also looking for a bed back in Lancaster. Hope we do not cross paths when we goto visit. Tried ringing but not sure exactly where he is and get no answer on the transferred number.

    Afternoon guys.
At least some good news for you SteveN. Still same problem with lack of information from NHS, communication (lack of) dreadful.
Very wet and windy here, also noticeably cooler. Got my mother's phone sorted.

Glad your dad is improving Steve.
I feel like I'm heading for a hospital bed myself. As the week has progressed I have got tireder to the point of exhaustion. Last night I was in bed for 8pm. Today I'm no better. Work is progressing but we are a long way off completion.
Tomorrow I'm having a camera investigation again down the throat. At least I will have a break from the chain gang.

Be careful you don’t overdo it Alban! I know Vanita will be pushing you to have the house completed in a day but take your time or you’ll make yourself really ill.

    Morning all
It a Endoscopy investigation at 1pm for me. I'm not looking forward to it and insist on sedation. This leaves me woozy for twelve hours. On the bright side I get a day off house renovation. I've really hated heavy joinery work and feel guilty as I'm working to improve my new home. Vanita has worked like a Trojan mainly painting and decorating. The kitchen units arrived last night and one of my grandsons is doing the installation. I'm hoping by late Sunday the kitchen will be 75% complete. Our works will be on program for completion by 15 November.

Morning all , as my kids would say and we do do as we are told get someone in to do the decorating and wood work ; it is costing us £230 for our lounge to be done wallpaper and paint and that includes the removal of the wall paper .

    Afternoon guys.
A much improved day compared to yesterday.
Don't go exhausting yourself Alban, get the work done in your time not someone else's.
Sound's like you got a good deal there Noel.

I turned my back on the loch this morning to take in the view. I can’t understand why every photo I post on the forum appears upside down.

Anyway starting at 9 am fishing in the shade facing into the wind it was freezing. I’d caught four before I gave up as my fingers began to throb and I couldn’t feel the line they were that cold. One coffee later and a move to the sunny side of the loch worked a treat. I soon started catching again and could not believe how well I was doing. I ended up with 24 on the bank and lost many more. They were all hard fighting rainbows of about three pounds apiece, every one on a cats whiskers and slow sinking line. Then the wind dropped and it went flat calm and the fishing went dead.

I was a bit suspicious as all the fish were virtually identical. A phone call confirmed my suspicions. I’d been stocky bashing. The loch has been restocked late yesterday afternoon. Oops!
