Default Pike in York

Hi.

I will be in York in next week.

I know it is probably the worst time of the year, but anywhere close that might still produce a pike?

I know the rivers are closed so I'm hoping for a lake or reservoir.

If canals are open you could try the Pocklington Canal , used to fish this years ago for pike on fly . Parked the campervan at Melbourne Marina and walked the canal both ways from there. The canal is narrow and pretty clear .

I walked the canal last weekend with the dog and there's some good size pike to be had.
