    Default Delighted by Guideline service (and John Norris)

    Rather than add to the Sciera ***** service thread, I thought it might be fairer on Guideline to give my experience better prominence, for their exact opposite service - exceptional.

    Living by the river, I got in the habit of leaving my Fario 8'6" #5 assembled and, after more than a few months, wanted to take it apart to fish elsewhere, only to find I simply could not get butt and second section apart. Long story short, I ended up snapping it, it was that tightly joined.

    I rang John Norris, explaining it was basically my fault and could they get me a new Butt section, and was told about 80.

    Sent whole rod in, and John Norris, rather than just ordering me a section, sent it back to Guideline.

    In turn, Guideline sorted out a new butt section and also renewed many rings that had been damaged.

    Got a call saying there would be no charge at all, and the basically brand new rod was sent back to me, without even a postage charge.

    I think it is only fair that I should sing their praises, loudly, from the highest rooftop and forum. Exceptional service should be recognised at least as much as dreadful service.

    The result of course is that I will be loathed to buy a rod now from any other manufacturer. Guideline have my loyalty from now, and not just because of their service, because I was already pretty delighted with the rod.

    Good service deserves good publicity.
    Only when the last tree has been cut down, the last fish caught and the last river poisoned, will we realise, we cannot eat money.

    Always had good service from John Norris, bought rods reels clothes Etc, no problem.
