    Default Bead Chain Eyes

    This will seem like a stupid question but its causing me some bother.

    you know the b+q bead eyes people use for salt patterns etc. well how does one cut them into pairs without damaging them? any pliers etc i have wreck the bead and i can't see any fine pliers/cutters in b+q

    I use small diagonal side cutters



    Pull the beads apart as far as you can, insert cutters and snip as close to the bead as possible.

    cheers, i think mine are slightly wider than urs. the b+q man tried to sell me jewelllery snippers at 35.

    Tell him to go and ****, you can get good snippers which i use for pike fishing traces in hardware shops for 2-3quid and they cut brilliant. Would do the trick for those beads.

    I use snips by CK i got from Homebase only about 3 they are small and spring loaded.The eyes in smaller sizes can be cut with nail clippers.

    Got mine like Tango51's on eBay.

    Haven't used them yet as I don't have any beadchains....
