    Default Hidden Bead March Brown







    A few mods in materials and tying sequence to Barrett Christiensen's . Again, don't be constrainted by recipe; feel free to substitute.


    hook - Dai Riki 280 #12
    thread - Danville 6/0 rusty brown
    rib - small wire copper
    tail/shellback - pheasant tail
    abdomen - my own super secret Spruce Moth dubbing (tan rabbit/hare's ear/antron)
    bead - 3.2mm gold
    thorax - Ice Dub UV tan
    hackle - Mearns quail
    wing - woodduck flank

    It's the first time I have seen a March Brown with a hidden bead. It will probably do very well sinking down to lower fish. Very well tied fly.
