Default Red hooks and beads help.

Can anyone tell me if they know of a source for red B175/B170 or similar in size 12

Also red metallic brass beads in 3.2mm (now sorted for these)

Need approx 100 of each.

Thanks

Red metallic beads I can't help with although tungsten beads have a good range and if I want coloured beads that's where I go first, got some 2.4mm green beads last time , but I have painted hooks with red nail varnish in the past, shank up to the barb, not sure if it made a difference but I liked it at the time, these days I don't bother.

Not a straight shanked hook, it's more a " grub " but I've bought some of these in the past in 12. Charles Jardine Grayling/Bug Red Hook - Lathkill Fly Fishing

You'll struggle for b175 in red, kamasan stopped making them, there was a forum member from Ireland IIRC who had sourced some size 10's when i was looking for 12's but i think he's since left the forum, as i couldn't get him via PM when i tried a few months ago.

There were some b170 red on ebay, about a year ago (or more) but havent seen them in a long time.

Best regards
Jim

Edit: Bison (Newmills fishery) also do red Talon grub hooks 3 for 50 from memory

Got those, they are very nice hooks and strong! had a few big and very hard fighting rainbows on them and they held up fine....unlike B100

When I need beads or hooks in a certain color, I use nail polish very lightly, let it dry for about 3 hours and coat with UV Knot sense very lightly and cure with light. Seems to hold up real good.
