    Default Munguler (Mixed Ungulate Emerger)

Looking to expand the cream/dark brown palette that moose mane provides. Lacking the patience to dye said moose mane (or a working microwave to dye anything at the moment) I started poking around my stuff and found the box of bucktails in all kinds of colors. With the narrow diameter of the bucktail, I wouldn't want to tie anything bigger than a #12, but for small stuff, it works okay.

    thread - UTC 140 chartreuse
abdomen - bucktail dyed chartreuse/dark moose mane
    wing/wing pad - deer hair
    hackle - grizzly

Looks beautiful as always Scott! I tie moose mane emergers using a snowshoe wing and thorax. Ive also discovered that the cream hairs take permanent marker pretty well so avoid having to play around with dyes.

    Take care

Beautiful flee that mate - it's so nice I'd be scared to fish it!
