Time on the water isn't spent. It's invested . Everyday is a school day.

Yes, I’d fish that I think it would do well in a choppy water on a lake/ loch.

Floating line through a wave, it'll catch no worries.

lets put some of yours in my box for next season and see if id fish them then i can report back lol
    id gladly try them
how he may read upon the varying skies, from thence to judge the order of his flies,
how he may place them on his trailing link, know which should float,or which should partly sink

I would most definitely fish that with 100% confidence of catching on it... lovely tying that could cover a multitude of flies on the water

Conan it's one of those flies where there's a multitude of adaptions and if I'm honest, I've never seen a version where you look at it and think I'm definitely going to catch on that. Over hackled? No, it'll float all day

I'd happily tie that one on either when fishing rapids or skating sedges. Nice tying mate.

Absolutely I'd fish it -- and expect to catch.

Yep, definitely over-hackled, now tie up another 5 and I'll dispose of them in an orderly manner for you (name & address shall be forwarded in due course).

That's a cracking tie, should well & truly "stimulate" a feeding reaction from any fish.
2019 & it will be time for a change.
