    Nice bit of kitbut has anyone come up with a diy version of their own?(30quid is a bit expensive for a bulldog clip)

    They do in the advert! Just window shopping jeff but I quite like the look of them.

    I've bought peacock herl and thread from Royal Sissi and both came through in less than three weeks and as described.

    All these companies seem to have a good refund process so if the clips don't meet your expectations you'd be okay. Having said that the build is pretty basic, there's not much to go wrong and the feedback is pretty good -although you'd imagine the trading environment out east allows a lot of room for hype.

    I was thinking of getting one of these. I'm sure you could get the exact same thing from a stationery shop, so after work tomorrow I'm off to staples... If not then I'll try one of these from ebay.

    It seems that there are quite a few Chinese versions.....I have just done a search for feather clips
