    Default Minnow Streamers

    Materials used are
Hooks: size 8 long shank, I've tried it with a super grub in the SBS but in future will stick to long shanks
    Bead: something heavy 3.5-4.5mm
Thread: your choice ive used power silk for this one but utc 70 works well
Fibre: Funky Fibre in tan, black and white then some sort of flash I've used tundra flair that has gold, copper, green/blue and some black in it but flashabou in copper or gold would do.

Slide on a tungsten bead and attach your thread in front leaving a 3-4mm gap

jump the thread over the bead and fix it in position

Tie in a small whispy amount of black funky fibre

Then tie in a small amount of flash material

Take a small amount of funky in white and tan, these need to be double length of the finished fly approx 3.5-4"

Tie both in behind the bead then jump the thread in front of the bead, pull both bits forward and tie down.

Fold both bits of material back over the bead and feather them to cover the bead then tie down

tie in 2 small amounts of funky fibre facing forwards then fold these back and tie in

Feather the materials out with your fingers then trim to the desired shape reworking the fibres and tolling them between your fingers

Once your happy with the finished shape use some Resin over the bead and pull it backwards through the fibres to create a streamlined head

Attach some eyes (optional) then seal over them

For the one in the photos I tried it with a size 8 heavy grub hook but I'd recommend to stick to a long shank pattern

Very nice, many thanks for doing a SBS.
Fundamentally fishing is a philosophy. A philosophy of earth, and growth, and quiet places. In it there is a rule of life, a recognition of permanences. It makes you notice the little things of nature, wherever you may be. ~Bernard Venables

Saw Mart fishing with these today and they look good in the water, I would'nt be surprised if you caught pike on those too, especially little jacks

    Good job buddy

Yes wild brownies hit them hard, but I've had a couple of small pike on them from trout pools and can't see many perch turning them down
